Laura Comas obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry (2013) and a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular and Cell Biology (2014) at the University of Zaragoza. In 2015, she was awarded a predoctoral fellowship at the ICB-CSIC, where she obtained her Doctorate Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (2020) with Cum Laude Mention. Her PhD Thesis, entitled “Aplicación de nanomateriales al estudio y modulación de la respuesta inflamatoria en patologías inflamatorias y cáncer”, was focused on the study in vitro and in vivo of nanoparticles approved for clinical use and the development of nanosensors for the detection of inflammatory mediators involved in ulcerative colitis and colorectal cancer. During this period, she carried out a research stay at the San Jorge University (2018), where she worked with C. elegans as an alternative in vivo model to determine oral uptake and nanotoxicity of several nanomaterials. In 2020, she joined the protein NMR group of the IQFR-CSIC as a research assistant to provide support in the expression and purification of recombinant protein and their subsequent study by NMR.
