| Javier Oroz (Pamplona, Spain, 1981) finished his PhD in protein nanomechanics in 2010 in the Cajal Institute for Neurobiology (Madrid, Spain). Following his interests in protein biophysics and Structural Biology, in 2011 he moved to the Centre for Biological Research (Madrid) to learn protein NMR with Eva de Alba. In 2013 he moved with a Marie Curie grant to the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry (Göttingen, Germany) to apply advanced NMR methods to proteins involved in neurodegeneration with Prof. Markus Zweckstetter. Since he joined the protein NMR group in 2018 he has developed his lines of research in the structural basis of protein diseases. His research is focused on the mechanisms of pathogenicity in ALS and the rare disease CCHS. |
